Elly and James are a lovely, warm, friendly and unique couple. When they got engaged they decided that they wanted their wedding day to be a little bit different, not just following tradition. They chose to spend the morning of their wedding together and completed a Park Run in the morning – a great way to calm any nerves! Elly’s stunning wedding dress was lilac and was made especially to frame the tattoo on her back. She chose mix and match white dresses for her bridesmaids and gorgeous white and purple flowers finished the look perfectly.
As Elly and James wanted to walk down the aisle together they had a first look in the beautiful Tudor courtyard of Fulham Palace before their ceremony in the Great Hall. The weather held for an outdoor drinks reception and photos in the lovely walled garden with its graceful arched doorways. Elly started the speeches in the light and airy marquee where they had an amazing tower of cupcakes for their wedding cake. The evening celebrations started with drinks by candlelight in the book-lined drawing room followed by dancing and laughter with a great band. As dusk was falling I stole a few moments with Elly and James to photograph them against the historic backdrop of the Palace.
And here’s a slideshow of their unique and special day:
